PortfoLion’s Codecool story

Compared to PortfoLion’s usual PRMA investments, the Codecool transaction – realized in 2017 – happened exceptionally early. Nevertheless, the company’s unique business model, an uptick in the need for IT professionals, and a team of founders with a successful exit under their belt convinced us to jump aboard. The belief that the demand for IT professionals would only increase drove our investment. The trends have reflected this over the last few years, and 2020 brought even greater change. PortfoLion joined a seed and Series A round, which enabled expansion into Romania and new course offerings.
